A resident of Columbia, Maryland and San Antonio, Texas since August 2007, was born in Stuttgart, Germany.  He discovered his talents of creativity, in drawing, painting, writing lyrics, and poetry while in elementary school.  Holds a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication, Bowie State University, Bowie, Maryland, May 1999, and is currently working on his Masters in Education Media Design and Technology 


Michael has recently completed directing his second faith-based independent film “Whatever Happened to US” his first feature “BROKEN” won 3rd place at the 2008 Kingdomwood Christian Film Festival in Lithonia, Georgia and Honorable Mention for Best Feature Film at the 2009 International Black Film Festival of Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee.    He has also released an inspirational spoken word CD, “The Spirit of the Matter Is,” and published three poetry books, “Life As Is…” 1997, “Prelude To Life Poetry” 2001, and “The Spirit Of The Matter.”  His third short film “Going Down” that dealt with the generational curse of domestic violence was an official selection for the Red Bull Independent Film Elevator Pitch contest.  Michael is an avid filmmaker, poet and writer, inspired by God and his life experiences, as he sees life in its many aspects, which lead him to create Illumination Media Group, LLC.

Michael E. Melvin

Amber Ba'th is a native of Philadelphia, PA by way of Los Angeles, CA and Washington D.C. She is a Howard University Alumni with a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts Administration. A host of accolades in the entertainment industry stemming from her roots at Freedom Theatre has lead to her role as Company Manager/ Production Coordinator on national tours, film and television. The stage productions “The Fabric of a Man” starring Shemar Moore of “Criminal Minds” and Clifton Powell of “Friday After Next”; the film production of “The Fabric of a Man” starring Darrin Dewitt Henson of “A Good Man is Hard to Find” and Clifton Powell; “He Say She Say but What Does God Say” starring Nephew Tommy of “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” and N’Bushe Wright of “Blade”, are a few of her notable accomplishments.


This talented dedicated young woman is no stranger herself to the screen having a speaking role in Ice Cubes “Friday After Next”. The health and fitness campaign sponsored by McDonalds lead to a national print ad where she graced the pages of “O”, “Essence” and “Woman’s World” Magazines. For those of you that follow sports programming, Amber served as the Production coordinator for the Fox Sports Net television show “Street Pace”, focusing on extreme sports athletes such as skateboarder Tony Hawk, motor cross champion Mike Metzger, and street ludger Pamela Zoolallian to name a few. Her most recent accomplishment was working with Tony Award Winning Director of “The Wiz” and “Porgy and Bess”, George Faison on the national tour of “If This Hat Could Talk” starring singer and songwriters Margaret Bell, Stephanie Mills, Tony Terry and Melba Moore, where she served as Company Manager/Tour Manager. This also allowed her to reconnect with Producer Chuck West of West Vision Entertainment. Most recently, as a production coordinator for the Travel Channel, one of her many shows, “Relic Hunter with Ian Grant” was nominated and won a 2010 daytime Emmy for most outstanding series.

Vernon “V” Nora, started his singing/songwriting career at sixteen in his church youth choir, and since then, has sang at The Apollo, was signed to an independent label out of Atlanta, has written for local stage plays, and has collaborated with artists internationally from France to Canada and nationally. Vernon found his journalistic calling writing the Entertainment section for the Michigan based Take Pride Magazine. He caught the acting bug after working on a few stage plays and writing songs for the independent feature film “BROKEN.”  Now bringing his onstage personality, humor, singing and song writing skills to IMG’s new film “Whatever Happened to Us” playing the part of the Husband.

“Talented”, “Creative”, and Multi-Dimensional” are just some of the few accolades that are used to describe Corey Mcpherson. A native of Fayetteville, NC, Corey has been around music since the age of 4, and hails from a lineage rich in musical heritage and tradition, most notably B.B. King. Corey is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University with a double major in Music Education and Music Business. Before turning to keyboard almost exclusively, McPherson was also an accomplished trumpet player, having played with such guest artists as Frank Foster, McCoy Tyner, Javon Jackson, Ray Codrington, Stanley Turrentine, and Kirk Whalum. For the last 14 years, Corey has been a Middle School Band Director in Prince Georges County Public Schools in Maryland. While in the Metro area, Corey has worked with several artists here and abroad in all types of musical genres. Some examples include: Alao (Conscious Rapper, MD), William Vaughn (Bass, Urban Intalek Records), Earl Williams (Gospel Vocalist, MD), Terrance “T Bblazzin” Taylor (Rapper, L.A., California), Moon (Vocalist, DC), Sage (Female vocalists, Baltimore) Stephen Egderton (Bass, MD), and Sekou Haze (Gospel Rapper, Baltimore). Corey brings a unique skill set to the table: He can, sing, act, play, engineer, produce, educate, and most of all, ENTERTAIN!
